As far as I know, we don't get It's On with Alexa Chung here in Canada, but I am glad (in a slightly stalkerish way) that MTV's Buzzworthy blog is tracking her outfits on a daily basis.

Monday Night Bachelorette

Despite having a voice that sounds like a truck driving over a gravel road, current Bachelorette Jillian Harris has won over the hearts of many studly men with questionable careers and the Canadian retail industry. Each episode is like doing a scavenger hunt of the mall! Jillian name drops her favourite stores:

Sidenote: Jillian and the bachelors will be traveling on a Rocky Mountaineer train in tonight's episode. I have taken the same train from Vancouver to Whistler with my grandma and we both loved it. It's very picturesque and passerbys on the street will wave to you as you pull into Vancouver.

Miranda July's boyfriend, Mike Mills has made this great tote bag for fans of JD Salinger and Franny & Zooey. It sells for a whopping $110 USD.

A great book. A funny, complicated, simple, personal, revealing, unpretentious book. How envious it makes me. When I make things like this it's sort of like having a post-it on my desk that says remember that book, remember there are really good things in life, remember even that people can make really great, positive things out of hard situations. This is a reminder.

Growing Boys and Girls

Recently, friends of mine from many different circles have announced their pregnancies, their engagements or regaled me with tales of house-hunting. I want to be like Peter Pan and try to convince everyone to stay where they are and never grow up. I do like buying baby clothes though. Adorable! Who doesn't like cute onesies with the caption "I don't know who this is" underneath a picture of Che Guevara? Here's a picture of some farm animal pajamas I picked up for a friend's little girl (who incidentally grew up on one).
