Doughnut Love

Ashish for Topshop Doughnut Top (via nitrolicious)

Dozen Donuts Tea Towel by Avril Loreti... I would never use this to dry dishes. It's too precious. It belongs a wall and should be worshipped accordingly.

Don't these homemade doughnuts look absolutely yum? They were made by Butterfly Foodie from a recipe in one of those trashy food mysteries!

High Concept

To continue with the (begrudging) corporation love theme of today, I present you the home of Jane Herman, Director of Concept at Gap. I like all the loving details like the blackboard with the night's menu on the kitchen table, the portrait of Fiorello La Guardia and the teensy bar above the radiator. See more at Refinery 29.

Pssst! Have you visited Gap's new blog, Gap Mag? It's actually pretty good! Very clean and full of street style pictures of people wearing (what else?) Gap.

petite sweet

My co-worker and I spent the better part of an hour cooing over the new petite treats at Starbucks, especially those cute cake pops. They're a pretty sweet ass deal for Starbucks prices - two for $3.15 CAD!

Inspiration

Cheetah is the New Black made me buy that silk polka dot shirt at Zara.

Oooh... peep-toe ankle-strap wedges from the departed Martin+Osa at Simple Lovely.

Amazing Stevan Alan Floral mini skirt. I like how Oh Joy puts it together with baby blue Tretorns and a polka dot t-shirt.

Baking To-Do: Strawberry Cake

If I ever get a mixer with a paddle attachment, I'm going to buckle down and make this strawberry cake. Just 'cause it's cute.

There's Thunder in Our Hearts

Ever since I saw this Fieldguided tote bag online, I've been seeing it slung across shoulders of girls on Queen Street.

blog love: closet visit

Growing up, whenever we had people over in my house, my parents rarely did house tours. So when I grew up and started going over to my friend's places, I was surprised that the practice of house tours is de rigeur. House tours are the best! Even when they're boring and your friend is droning on about plans for new curtains and aluminum siding, it's so fascinating because it's sanctioned snooping. I love looking at things that people buy and how they arrange furniture, which is why I like the blog Closet Visit so much. It gives you a peep into the closets and homes of stylish women.

Safety Bricks

Once I heard this cute little duet with Kevin Drew and Feist, I had a hard time getting it out of my head.

Wide-Leg

I've been jonesin' for a great pair of wide-leg jeans after spending the past couple years in jeggings or skinny jeans. I like the light blue pair from Steven Alan and old school bells from EmersonMade.

Order

One summer, I was a receptionist at a small firm and placed in charge of office supplies. By the summer's end, there wasn't a spot in that supply room that I hadn't labeled. I look around my desk at work, the sorry state of my bedroom and wonder how I drifted so far from my anal retentive self. The above images inspire me to get crackin' on organizing my documents. An empty backpack re-purposed as a filing cabinet in my closet just isn't cutting it anymore. (via cupcakes and cashmere)
